Remember when you were in school and everyone bought those little boxes of Valentine's card with all those cute animals on them with nice little sayings? It seems that those sorts of cards are no longer around. Thinking back to my childhood and coming to that yearly ordeal of exchanging those cards brings back fond and sad memories at the same time. Many children did not have any cards to exchange and many were not given any. I guess it's the unkind things kids do to one another. And today it's no different. We gravitate towards the popular people and leave the rest behind.

As adults we find lots of special people in our lives. We tend not to be so unkind as we realize the importance of friendship, love and coworkers. Every Valentine's day has a special meaning to each one of us.

For those that are courting, married or going steady (do they still do that??) thinking of a new way to share our thoughts, love and feelings on this special day can be cumbersome.

We ran across an idea that looked interesting. If you don't want to spend a lot of money why not try writing a romantic story for that special someone? There's a terrific lady who is a Welsh author by the name of Lynette Rees who will teach you how to write a romance novel and it needn't be a long story. You can find out more by visiting her site.

Putting together some poems is another way to celebrate this Valentine's Day. Whichever way you choose to celebrate - make it special.
