With email, Blackberries and a hectic world around us the time to sit down and write a love letter is a thing of the past. You can however, change that and create a real beauty in doing so. It will be cherished so don't think that the receiver will not be grateful.

If you think about it - the card companies have great sayings in their cards and we take the time to read a lot of them before deciding which card suits our needs.

When you sit down and contemplate what you are going to write - think of what you have to say to the recipient. For instance, make a list of everything you love about your man/woman. From that list take each idea and expand on it. There are many ways to do this by either thanking them for all they do, how you feel about them, compliment their strengths and what you have accomplished together.

Make sure you write your love letter on an appropriate card or buy some special paper for the V-Day event. If you are buying a gift-attach the letter to the gift or have it hanging at the end of balloons that you are sending your loved one.

Writing a love letter can also include a proposal for marriage, announcing you are expecting or surprise them with a trip. On Valentine's Day your love letter can contain anything and everything but to make this a sincere love letter it's not a good idea to write anything negative.

Make your Valentine's Day special with flowers, jewelry, perfume, balloons, a giant Teddy Bear or a gift basket. And remember to write your love letter and include it with your gift.

With only 22 days left until Valentine's Day you better hurry and buy your Valentine's Day Gift quickly before all the Teddy's are gone.

Teddy Bear's are synonymous with Valentine's Day and since 1906 they have been a big deal in the USA let alone the world. Think about it.....when a newborn receives a gift there is usually a teddy bear - when we send get well gifts we send them too. For some reason they are a comfort item that everyone loves. Their eyes look at us as if they were alive but we fear them when we meet up with one in the woods. It's too bad these bears don't understand our love for them - they sure would stop attacking if that were the case.

Since Valentine's Day is such a "couples" day we often buy Teddy's to accompany our gift baskets, balloons, candy bouquets or chocolates. If you take a look at the various flower sites their upsell is always chocolate, a vase or a Teddy. We just can't get away from them. They are adorable in their own right.

Not only do you see the regular Teddy Bear with brown fur and simple feature you will now see them in all sorts of colors and designs. Some of them are downright ugly and the material they use takes away from the beauty of a bear.

Everyone knows the popularity of Steiff bears from Germany. They continue to be made today and boy are they expensive. With the Dollar way down against the Euro it's even worse. There's a huge collection of them in museums and the bear collectors have large clubs.

Valentine's Day would not be the same without a beautiful Teddy Bear. Young and old sleep with them, display them and even have little nooks in their homes for them. Remember Teddy Bear this V-Day and figure him into your gift giving.

February 3rd is just around the corner and the best way to start is to decorate the house in team colors. You can also buy those birthday blowers for touchdowns along with other products found in the stores.

A lot of people love to bring their own dishes so let them bring lots of snacks. Favorites include tortilla chips, dips, chips, chicken wings etc. Getting all of your snacks prepared ahead of time will keep you out of the kitchen and there with the action.

If you are really pressed for time why not buy a seafood gift basket ahead of time with all the goodies you will need? If you buy several of these baskets you can scatter them around and let everyone help themselves.

Don't forget to make a cheese fondue. Take all the savory snacks and use them for dipping. Warm cheese on your cracker or chip is an awesome taste.

On the sweet side you can make a white or chocolate fondue and dip the pretzels, cookies or dried fruit into the warm melted and creamy selection.

You must have plenty of chilled drinks on hand. From beer to sodas and even plain ole water will keep everyone happy. Keep coasters on all surfaces to keep your tables from having those dreaded rings from those sweating glasses. And keep lots of paper towels or hand towels available for clean up or accidents.

Whatever you decide - have a blast and here's to hoping your team will win. (We think the The New England Patriots will win)

Remember when you were in school and everyone bought those little boxes of Valentine's card with all those cute animals on them with nice little sayings? It seems that those sorts of cards are no longer around. Thinking back to my childhood and coming to that yearly ordeal of exchanging those cards brings back fond and sad memories at the same time. Many children did not have any cards to exchange and many were not given any. I guess it's the unkind things kids do to one another. And today it's no different. We gravitate towards the popular people and leave the rest behind.

As adults we find lots of special people in our lives. We tend not to be so unkind as we realize the importance of friendship, love and coworkers. Every Valentine's day has a special meaning to each one of us.

For those that are courting, married or going steady (do they still do that??) thinking of a new way to share our thoughts, love and feelings on this special day can be cumbersome.

We ran across an idea that looked interesting. If you don't want to spend a lot of money why not try writing a romantic story for that special someone? There's a terrific lady who is a Welsh author by the name of Lynette Rees who will teach you how to write a romance novel and it needn't be a long story. You can find out more by visiting her site.

Putting together some poems is another way to celebrate this Valentine's Day. Whichever way you choose to celebrate - make it special.
